Hello, my name is Alex and I’m a freshman studying Computer Science at SLU-Madrid. I’m from Michigan in the United States and I joined NewSLU in the fall semester of 2024. I’ve enjoyed writing from a young age, but this is my first time participating in journalism. Prior to this, I’ve spent my free time dabbling in fiction writing as well as school writing assignments (which I enjoyed more than most of my classmates). I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity I’ve been granted to come to Madrid to practice my (questionable) Spanish and join the SLU community. I’m really excited to be involved with NewSLU and be able to write while I complete my degree in Computer Science (which doesn’t exactly have much writing involved in it).
