Hi, I’m Ariana! I’m a fourth-year permanent student here at SLU-Madrid. I’m from Ecuador, and I study political science. I joined the newspaper at the beginning of the Fall 2023 semester as a photographer. I took SLU’s photojournalism class during my junior year here and truly loved it. Although I am not a communication or journalism major, I do find politics and photography super intriguing. What better place to combine both interests than TheNewSLU newspaper? Photographs and images are crucial tools in telling stories as they transmit emotions like no other. I can not wait to see the magic of journalism, and photography unfold in TheNewSlu!
