Hi! My name is Varya, I am currently a first-year student here at SLU-Madrid and plan on majoring in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. I am originally from California but have never really lived there. Growing up I moved every two years, living in countries like Tanzania, the Philippines, Ukraine and Belarus. I am actually a transfer student from the United States Naval Academy, so it has been quite a change. From my travels, I grew to love photography and cameras. Capturing culture, people, and life all around the world has been an amazing experience. And as far as writing goes, I have always loved writing, from opinion pieces to short stories. I am excited to embark on this journey here at SLU and am very happy to have found my new home: Madrid.
